New Board Member Elected to Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority

The Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority unanimously approved a new board member: Floyd Wilson, Jr. is executive vice president of Metro Health and has more than 16 years of human resources, management and informational technology experience.

Active in the community, Wilson serves on the boards of Goodwill Industries, Kent County Aeronautics Board, Catholic Social Services and Health Care Employers' Council. Wilson is involved with Grand Rapids Economic Club, Society for Human Resource Management, Alliance for Health, Michigan Minority Business Development Committee, United Way and Special Olympics.

Wilson joins Lew Chamberlin, Steve Heacock, George Heartwell, Birgit Klohs, Gary McInerney and Joe Tomaselli on the board, together with staff Richard MacKeigan and Susan Waddell.

The Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority is the seven-member board that administers DeVos Place®, DeVos Performance Hall and the Van Andel Arena®. The CAA's mission is to encourage economic development within the West Michigan region, create jobs and provide facilities for the entertainment, enjoyment, and/or benefit of the citizens in an economical manner.
