Eating local is all the rage in Michigan, and for good reason—we come up with some seriously delectable dishes and products. But we can’t always make it to our local farmers market to find the latest in artisanal creations, to say nothing of the markets located on the other side of the state.

Mitten Crate is here to help. For $42 (includ-ing shipping), the company will mail a box full of Michigan goodies, pulled from businesses around the state, to your door—or to the door of a client who deserves special thanks. Past boxes have included Chazzano coffee, Will Cole caramel corn, Brownwood Farms cherry butter, Mindo chocolate and Al Dente pasta, just to name a few items. As an added bonus, the company has partnered with Gleaner’s Community Food Bank to provide three meals to the hungry for each box purchased. The company mails all goodie boxes on the 15th of each month, so plan your gift giv-ing (or indulging) ahead of time.
