There’s staffing news in the Michigan sales department of Boyne Resorts. Brie Kear has been promoted to the role of director of sales and Brenda Haight, CPM, returns as sales manager. Both roles have responsibilities over Boyne Resorts’ Michigan operations including Boyne Highlands Resort in Harbor Springs, Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls and Inn at Bay Harbor, Autograph Collection located in Bay Harbor.

Kear most recently served as the associate director of sales. Since starting with Boyne Resorts in 2004, Kear has developed a track-record of success holding several titles that have provided a deep understanding of all facets of group events, including event manager, wedding sales manager and national sales manager leading Corporate and Michigan Associations. Most recently she served as associate director of sales. Kear is also a current board member for Meeting Professional International’s Michigan chapter and serves as the vice president of membership.

“Brie is a natural leader who will continue to mentor and guide our sales team through the challenges of a pandemic into a thriving meeting market in our beautiful region,” says Judy Booth, vice president of sales for Boyne Resorts’ Michigan operations. “Her experience with both Boyne Resorts and northern Michigan is a natural asset to our team.”

In her returning role, Haight will again lead sales for Michigan state associations, as well as focus on targeted associations in Illinois and Ohio.  A 20-year industry veteran, Haight has spent the majority of her career working within the resort industry and for destination marketing organizations, including the Greater Lansing Convention & Visitors Bureau and Discover Kalamazoo. She is a native of northern Michigan and long-time member of the Society of Government Meeting Professionals, Michigan Meeting Professionals International and the Michigan Society of Association Executives.

“Brenda has a love for Boyne Resorts, and knows the region extremely well,” says Booth.  “We are thrilled to have her back on our team. She has many close relationships with our state association customers and will have a great impact on driving future business for our resorts.”
