"Stray" is a among a series of "missed masterpieces" selected for the 2022 Traverse City Film Festival, so chosen because they were produced during the pandemic and didn't get the same level of attention they would have in normal times.

For the first time since 2019, the Traverse City Film Festival will be back in action this summer.

Originally founded in 2005 by filmmaker Michael Moore, the festival ran annually until COVID forced it to be shelved for two years. Now it’s back again July 26-31, with about 40 films currently programmed and more expected to be added to the lineup.

“There are a number of films screening at the Tribeca Film Festival that we are still scouting, and we also are yet to announce our short film programs,” says Director Johanna Evans.

Fashion Plates

Sometimes I wonder how much time I spend in my closet scooting hangers back and forth. Whether the event is formal, semi-formal, business dress or even the dreaded “smart” casual (what does that even mean?), deciding what to wear to an event can be a difficult choice. Of course, when you get it right and you have the perfect bag to go with that dress or the right pair of shoes, it’s a feeling you want to remember. Cue the on-site illustrations by Denise Fike.
