• GLCVB Appoints Melissa Nay as Membership Manager

The Greater Lansing Convention and Visitors Bureau (GLCVB) recently appointed Melissa Nay, CTA as its new membership manager. The GLCVB’s mission is to promote the region as a visitor destination to impact the area’s economy, and in her new position, Nay will do just that.

“Continued growth of membership is an important part of our organization’s future plans," said Jack Schripsema, president and CEO of the GLCVB. “We are confident that Melissa’s experience will make her a perfect fit for this role.”

Nay attended Michigan State University where she received a Bachelor’s Degree in Advertising. Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for the University Club of MSU. As the past chair for ATHEANA WIN, and her prior work with committees like Habitat for Humanity, Child and Family Charities and The Wharton Center, Nay has experience working on a multitude of projects in the meetings and events industry. She also previously served as the director of corporate development at WKAR-TV for six years and held the position of sales manager with the Lansing State Journal for 12 years.

There’s staffing news in the Michigan sales department of Boyne Resorts. Brie Kear has been promoted to the role of director of sales and Brenda Haight, CPM, returns as sales manager. Both roles have responsibilities over Boyne Resorts’ Michigan operations including Boyne Highlands Resort in Harbor Springs, Boyne Mountain Resort in Boyne Falls and Inn at Bay Harbor, Autograph Collection located in Bay Harbor.


Robert Lowe Jr. was recently appointed as a new advisory board member of Arbor Lodging, a hotel investment and management company. Lowe is the current Co-CEO of Lowe, a leading national real estate investment, development and management firm.
