The JW Marriott Grand Rapids is taking an active approach to New Year’s resolutions with a new Wellness Break Menu, offering activities such as yoga, kickboxing and more.

The idea was inspired by a recent study of Fortune 100 companies that found employees’ overall well-being translates to improved productivity and increased likelihood of staying with their company for more than one year. The menu, which also offers light therapy and mindfulness activities, is intended to help groups increase productivity during meetings.

The hotel is also will offer discounted rates for new booking events that are held between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2017. The discounts include $3 off per person for wellness activity enhancements; 50 percent off standard room rental rates with any catering order; and room rental for the International Ballroom can be waived with a food and beverage minimum

As of August 2019, Detroit’s renowned convention center is officially renamed the TCF Center

The change came in the form of an unprecedented 22-year naming rights deal that will set the venue for financial success in the future, as well as a move toward becoming a self-sustaining facility by 2024.

Historic river city and its many legends are ready to host and entertain.

In July, Chris Heeter, The Wild Institute and thousands of fans had to say goodbye to beloved speaker dog Tuu Weh.
