Lauren Mackintosh-Zebrowski was recently hired as the Catering & Events Manager at The Westin Riverfront Resort & Spa – Beaver Creek.

1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role at Westin Riverfront Beaver Creek?

I am looking forward to representing and promoting the Westin Riverfront as a beautiful location for hosting events of any kind. I am very fortunate to live and work in the Beaver Creek area.

2. How do you think your past industry experience has prepared you for this role?

Working front desk and in the reservations department gave me the opportunity to develop a higher level of customer service skills. I was able to interact with many different types of guests, and it also allowed me to learn all of the ins and outs of the property, which is great knowledge to have going into my new role.

3. How did you get into this industry?

I started out in the industry studying event and resort management at Johnson & Wales University in Denver. My first position in hospitality was working as a barista at the Westin Denver Downtown.

4. What are you hoping to achieve in your new role?

I hope to contribute to the Westin Riverfront's reputation as a world-class destination resort and continue to create unforgettable events and memories for our guests.

5. What do you enjoy the most about this industry?

I enjoy meeting people from different places and assisting them in developing a unique mountain experience during their stay.

Tenure has its rewards. Ten-year employee Andrew Reh moved into the chief operating offi cer and general manager role at Shanty Creek Resorts in Bellaire last fall. He worked through the ranks as director of food and beverage, executive chef and vice president of resort services before taking over the top spot.
