VisitPITTSBURGH has developed a fun promotional campaign to get locals more involved with its “Pittsburgh. Mighty. Beautiful.” theme and tagline. The organization kicked-off the “Mighty. Beautiful.” campaign and contest at its Annual Meeting luncheon by asking attendees to think of a third word to describe the city, e.g. Mighty. Beautiful. Welcoming. Among the words being used to describe Pittsburgh were: Inspiring. Proud. Reinvented. Welcoming. Legendary. Innovative.

On Nov. 16, 20 MPI PHL members and myself had the pleasure of engaging with Temple and Drexel Hospitality and Tourism students in an information filled speed networking hour, aptly named Backpacks to Briefcases.
Hotel du Village captures the beauty and romance of the French countryside and places it squarely in the charming and creative hamlet of New Hope. It’s long been a New Hope landmark, beloved by visitors and residents, many of whom spent Thanksgiving dinner around a table at the hotel’s restaurant, so it was naturally met with curiosity when Hotel du Village was sold in 2013.
