Speaking at this year’s Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference on Tourism, which took place on April 19-21 at Grand Traverse Resort and Spa, Governor Gretchen Whitmer had a clear message: the citizens of Michigan play a key role in supporting the state’s tourism industry.
Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference on Tourism
Attendees at the Pure Michigan Governor’s Conference on Tourism, which took place November 2-4, were among the first to experience the new event space at One Campus Martius. The 16th-floor venue was the site of the conference’s opening reception, and guests were wowed by the 5,500-square-foot wraparound terrace and the spectacular views it provides of downtown Detroit. The main event area offers more than 7,800 square feet of flexible event space, which can be divided into three smaller rooms.
The Destination Michigan Showcase is back and taking place in person only on October 22 at the Breslin Center on the MSU campus. Complimentary to meeting planners, the event format is a one-hour tradeshow followed by lunch and keynote speaker and then an additional one-hour tradeshow. Mark Ostach, a wellness expert, will share tips and facilitate table discussions on the topic of “Frequent and Last Minute Changes Driving Your Crazy!” For more information visit, destinationmi.com/destination-michigan-showcase.
